The Dumb House is disturbing, unique, intriguing, brutal, brilliant, compelling and hauntingly beautiful. Perhaps the most extraordinary book I read in 2016.
Sorry for the adjective filled review, I just feel like you should know next to nothing about the story when starting the book and I literally have nothing negative to say. The Dumb House was the perfect ending to a pretty perfect reading year.
