If you're a fan of Ted Lasso, you'll get plenty out of this book. If you don't, then I'm really not sure why you picked this one to read. There are a lot of other books out there. Mixing commentary from Jeremy Egner (TV critic for the NYT) as well as interviews with the cast and crew, Egner builds the story of a kismet opportunity that snowballed into one of the most successful TV shows of the 2020s and the launch of a streaming service. Will we ever see anything like Ted Lasso again? Well, maybe, if they continue the sequel they're planning. It's a great oral history that I imagine will be the first in a line of many analysing this show over the years.
