Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium by Jennifer L. Armentrout

5.0

The start of this book was the history of the worlds, characters, and Gods. It was nice to have a concise history.

It tells you about the characters in both the Blood and Ash and Flesh and Fire series and gives a synopsis of them up to this point in the series. I felt that it was a good review for me on some characters.

There was so much information in this compendium. I feel like I need to read it, mark it up, and then reread both series because I have a greater understanding. Maybe. Maybe I need a tandem read.

The artwork was amazing. My only complaint was that they were black and white in print. Not that it was BAD in black and white. There is just something about color. I understand why they were after having it explained. But I would’ve paid more to have them in color.

That was not written by JLA. What was written by her was amazing. I loved the new scenes, the excerpts from Miss Willa’s diary, the interview…

I originally read a Kindle version, but I had to get a hard copy to mark it up for future reads of the series.

The version of the book I read was an advanced copy.
