I can’t tell you how CS Lewis random narration drives me crazy. At some points of the book he will say “You’re probably wondering..” and it drives me crazy and takes me out of the story.
There was a lot of cute scenes and favorite dialogue pieces such as the Pevensie children at the Beaver’s house, Lucy and Susan witnessing the death of Aslan, Edmund’s interactions with the witch, and more. The ending was okay… I wish we saw more preparation of the war rather than Aslan and the sisters heading toward the castle.
Also Edmund has NO lines at the end ? It’s like he completely disappears and then when Lucy tries to save Edmund, Aslan gets mad at her ?! I was trying to figure out why Lewis would do that? To show that he was good but not safe ? No clue.
