“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
I liked what this book had to say more than the actual story, but I absolutely love what it had to say. This little novella is filled with gorgeous quotes, poignant one-liners, and deep thoughts worth mulling over. The somber pacing suited the philosophical tone beautifully.
The story itself was fine - I'm certainly not complaining about it - but it just wasn't my main takeaway. For me, the real treasure in this book was in the wisdom scattered throughout its pages.
