Tell Me to Stop by Charlotte Byrd
1.0
I had high hopes despite having read the GR ratings before reading this. Hopeful that maybe my reading experience with this book would be different. But it wasn’t.
(This was a Blind Date With A Book On TikTok.)
There was 1 shitty random scene that was “spicy” but it wasn’t even s3x. Then the other 1 and half scenes were Olive touching herself to THE AUTHORS book.
Listen, I’ve read lots of Y/N x anime character (or celeb) fanfics since the age of 10 on WattPad. I’m 21 years old currently. I’ve written and read better smut scenes than this. From people who’s first language is not English or people much younger than I currently am. And they write better than this.
The story was mainly about Olive. There was no romance between Olive and Nicholas. Strictly Business. Olive thirsted over him but that’s about it. Left off in a shitty cliff hanger at the end and I already wasted money on this shitty book I’m not wasting anymore on a second.
And halfway through the book (or a little past it) there was a time skip (weeks) but contradicts the story because Olive was in Maui for only less than a week? But she has that one scene with Nicholas that was “weeks later”? But she was in Maui for less than a week? Make that make sense.
Genuinely, the worst book I’ve ever read.
