I liked this book! I know there are lots of complaints about the pretentiousness of the characters but I feel like that was kind of the point! I enjoyed reading about how different class levels shaped different characters lives and personalities . Was it a little bit ~too~ self aware at times? Definitely, but none of the above took anything away from the book for me. It was fun to have so many different POVs even for a short time, and the mystery was exciting all the way through and I was fully surprised. I liked the detective’s character as well and will be reading the second.
