I enjoyed my time with this novel. The reason why this didn't get a 5 star from me was that Kulti was TOO back and forth for too much of this book. He was best friends with Sal, and then he treats her like garbage the next minute. I didn't enjoy that back and forth.
When he wasn't being a jerk, I really enjoyed the dynamic and easy friendship that he and Sal had. Sal's family was so warm and friendly on page that they added a great element to the story. Will definitely be reading more by this author.
