Now that Jinshi has bought out Maomao from Verdigris, she works as a personal maid at his quarters. It’s funny when the other court ladies tried to bully her for being jealous that she was working directly under Jinshi, but Maomao deflected them away sneakily by pretending to be weak.

There was a part where she tutored the top royal consorts and now that Consort Aduo was no longer around, a new consort replaced her and I am not sure what to think of this new lady. She seemed aloof and ignored Maomao throughout the entire lesson; I wonder if her attitude is simply that way, or it’s because she was not familiar with the other consorts yet. Pretty sure we’ll get to know her another time.
