I picked up Whispers Most Foul based on the gorgeous cover(s) alone and was delighted to find it was a gothic academic tale wrapped in magic, mystery, and a bit of romance. The magic system is easy to follow and feels natural, believable. The ghostly mystery is enhanced by Rose's relationships and experiences alomg the way. I enjoyed the characters quite a bit.
I read in tandem with the audiobook book, narrated by Tamaryn Payne, who was perfection.
Doubly delighted tonfind that this will be a series!
