[2.5 Stars] Oof, I hate to say this but this is definitely my least favorite Ilona Andrews book. Parts were great fun (intergalactic Bachelor? sign me up!), but they felt so odd with the "actual" overarching story and rescue. Idk, weird pacing and weird ricochet of tones. The pre-chapter comments were also just... not good. It turned the main plot into a subplot and the subplot into the main plot. I really enjoyed the subplot, but if that's what IA wanted to write they should have found a way to make THAT into the main plot. Anywho. We'll see when we get the next book I suppose.
