One of the main characters has APD (Audio Processing Disorder), and it talks about his disorder a little bit, but other than that he discusses dealing with bullies, embarrassing parents, and being a 5th grader. I loved it. The other main character is a boy who has moved to America with his family from India, and he is having a very hard time fitting in and feeling welcome. His story deals with the psychological issues of fitting in and acceptance and maybe even the struggle with what his parents expect and what he feels he needs to do to fit in with his classmates (hopefully). I am waiting until the end of this to say that it is a Wonder read-alike for sure.
