I thoroughly enjoyed this enchanting fantasy novel that weaves together the mystical world of vampires, fae, humans, and a dragon. The protagonist, Merida, is a spirited, courageous, and compassionate young woman who finds herself in an alternate reality. As the last dragon rider, she is highly sought after by all the houses, but she is also bonded to Prince Blake and enrolled in school. While Merida makes a few friends, the other students make her life a living hell. The plot is well-crafted, allowing readers to delve deep into the characters of Merida and Blake. Although the story unfolds at a leisurely pace, it doesn’t diminish its appeal. The final chapter is intriguing, leaving readers eager to delve into the next installment of the series.
