The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
5.0
As soon as I heard about this audio book on bookstagram I knew that it was probably going to be one of my favorites for the year and I was right. I'm a sucker for well written historical fiction based on a true story. I heard told us not to research ahead of time and that is good advice, because you want to experience this story with fresh untainted ears (or eyes). Looking back on the atrocities of the concentration camps it's hard to associate them with the best of humanity. But, as we dig into stories of the survivors, we can find out they are not only the heros of their own stories, but the heros in the story of humanity.
