A short read about children living in a colony on Venus. What’s really specific about their world is that it rains all the time and the sun comes out only for a few hours every seven years.

Among the children there’s one girl who remembers the sun, as she used to live on Earth until she was four. She misses the sun dearly, but her yearning is mocked by other children, often calling her a liar.
It’s a strange tale of taking things for granted, about bullying the one who is right and seeing the truth in the end.

The writing is so beautiful, it leaves an impact and the length of the story is what makes it more poignant.

The ending may be abrupt, but it effectively tells us everything about what would happen next to the characters in one simple sentence, How they would need to depend on Margot’s stories to remember the sun and how her leave would make them lose another one.
