Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

2.0

This book was entirely too long. I couldn't follow the plot, I hated the changing POVs (and how a certain villain just won't die), and most of the romances irked me for multiple reasons. I stuck around for Zoya and Nikolai and didn't mind the way their arcs turned out... and truly, bare toleration is about all I have for most of this story. It feels like a collection of semi-related excursions that will only appeal to people very invested in the Grishaverse, with an inconclusive ending and choices that pretty much destroy a lot of what I loved about the characters.
