I really loved the first book in this series so I was really looking forward to this sequel, sadly it wasn’t nearly as good as The Selection.

One of the main reason was the triangle drama, I’m rarely a fan of it and this book was 90% choosing between Maxon & Aspen.

The writing is just as captivating and fun as the first book but I didn’t feel as attached to the characters in this book as in the previous one. I felt like the story kept going in circles which gave the feeling of nothing happening.

Even though this book wasn’t the best I look forward to read the other books in the series!
