I’m officially hooked on this series! The first book in The Rift Chronicles series reads very much like a YA fantasy book, but the second book, Nights of Ink and Blade, is much more adult. Not to say the open door scenes are a whole lot spicier, because they’re only slightly more hot, but the FMC, Nova, is so much more adult in this book. There’s a HUGE plot twist that I can’t even talk about because it’s a major spoiler, but I’m loving the direction the series is heading. I’m so glad I stuck with it and read this second book. I’ve only given a few five-star reviews this year, and this one makes the cut!

I received an ARC of Night of Ink and Blade for free from BookSirens. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
