Hear the Wind Sing by Haruki Murakami

5.0

Stories within a story.
Not recommendable for everyone.
Purely introspective.
I mean... there's not even a plot.

I got lost with the unnamed protagonist. This book narrated his summer vacation from August 8, 1970 to August 26, 1970 and in those days, I felt like I was there with him the whole time.

So many takeaways despite the frequent void of pointlessness. But I think that's the point. I have so much respect for this debut novel, that's all I can say.
