Very good book for first novel. Kept me wanting to read it, especially with my brain stroke which is excellent progress, I would have before the stroke read it in a week or less. Awesome describing what was going on in the scenes. First book I have read about Gods. I like describing of the smells. I could picture myself in her book. I love the banter of Xiya and Sav. I think I want them together even though he is a god and a butthead. I can't wait for the next book to find out more secrets about her family and the war they were in with the gods. Her brothers are wonderful characters their love for each other is outstanding. Xiya is a strong woman to look up to. I love all the descriptions of the castles and the parties. Everything is outstanding.
