Ummm. I’m not sure what to say. I thought maybe I was crazy for not liking this as much as I expected to. Truthfully, I’ve been reading this book on and off for months. I just couldn’t seem to stay interested, so I would pause and read something else.

I like Alex. It’s hard not to, considering he doesn’t really do much to sway you one way or the other. I found the “romance” to be extremely cringe. A lot of the plot came out of left field. Stuff would be mentioned that I had totally forgotten about, or I was just like “Why on earth do they think that?” or “Why on earth are they saying this now?” We are told that people are genius-level intelligent, but they don’t really show it.

I don’t know. I didn’t hate it. But I definitely didn’t love it. Maybe the rest of the series gets better?
