A classic I had yet to read and I'm so glad I finally started this series. I loved the dual writing style: the naive writing and dialogue that follows the children, accompanied to the deep, dark and intense style with everything else happening in this story.
Lyra is such a strong-willed, brave and intelligent little girl. As an adult I want to wrap her up and protect her, she deserves such better parents than these wicked people, but still, she goes on and breaks through each and every time regardless of the toils she faces.
The bond between daemon and human is so beautifully and tragically written, I really want to know more about this bond and Dust.
