The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life by Rosamund Stone Zander, Benjamin Zander
5.0
I loved this book--it was recommended by Kara Loewentheil so I was intrigued. I listened to it and liked that format for it. It's basically about using some basic guidelines to create more expansiveness in your life. Some of the ones that resonated for me were "give everyone an 'A'" (expect the best from people); 'the 6th rule' (stop taking yourself so seriously) and 'the alchemy of WE' (stop getting polarized in conflicts).
I really liked the presentation--Rosamund Stone Zander wrote the book, and her partner (Boston Philharmonic Orchesta conductor) Benjamin Zander provides examples and musical interludes. They present 12 principles that I felt were all valuable. It's not a standard self help book as it's really about taking a general perspective of openness towards life/generosity towards other people, distilled into 12 principles.
