A Shining is a very short book, but one that I think one could debate about for hours.
It's one of those books that every reader will interpret differently, or resonate with differently depending on their life story and experiences.
To me, this was a story of how peaceful death can be. That it does not always need to be scary.
It's also a story of suicide, and of our lives in general. And of how our brains function; how we exist in a constant stream of consciousness.
This story generally just had a feeling of peace and bliss.
