Gangsta Rap by Benjamin Zephaniah

4.0

Reading this book slowly over a couple of months has held Benjamin Zephaniah in mind. Which made it all the sadder when he died last week. An inspirational man with an eye for injustice and the spellbinding words to conjure an understanding of other people’s lives and experiences.

This is a story of young black men finding their centre through a storm of adolescence, family binds, education. Navigating a career and commitments to each other.
