The Art of Memoir by Mary Karr
5.0
"I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!"
I bow down to Karr. While there isn't a lot of new information in the book about writing memoir, things are written and communicated in a way that made me think, "Damn, she's right," on a frequent basis. It's filled with warmness and cold truths about writing memoir. It reminds you that if didn't hurt, you didn't do it right. For anyone interested in writing memoir, this is a must.
