Escape by Kenya Wright
4.0
This is only the 3rd book I've read of Kenya's but she is one of those authors that I always look forward to reading her work. I save it for those Saturdays when I can really curl-up and enjoy the read. She did not disappoint. I love the way her mind works she takes the usual paranormal cast and turn them into her own playground of creativity.
Here we have The Quiet King, literally. He is deaf, blind and mute and has a harem of women with a rare blood type that is used for breeding.
In this story we follow Brie one of the dominas (that is what these women were called) that has escaped.
This story is not very long, about 120 or so pages, so I was able to read it in one sitting. It's a good story and I would love to see how it plays out. I LOVE good sex scenes (and they were some good steamy ones too) in my books but I will give just this one, itty-bitty, critique. This story had just the right amount of sex maybe one scene to many. I was just thinking that's enough for now and the story was ending. The story itself is good and I'm glad a balance was kept because I didn't want sex to take over the story.
Oh, and I almost forgot one cool thing that is new for me, sketches! I haven't seen this in any books yet that I can recall, but it was really cool to every now and again see the scenes the way the author see them.
