This was a lovely short read that made me smile.

The spice in this book was absolutely wholesome and I loved it so much. Hot angry sex can be great but I'm probably an even bigger fan of sweet and loving smutty scenes. This book totally had the latter with prince Hal being completely adored by his guards. They were so kind and sweet with all of the hugs and caring and gosh do I need to give my partner a hug to process this. Same for the guards treating his inexperience with so much love it really made me swoon.
I also really enjoyed the characters thoughts while they were having sex. It was really hot to read what was going on in his mind and made the scenes a lot more intense. This really added to the dom/sub dynamic too. It was soooo good to read all his submissive thoughts as well, he's such a natural sub and it was so hot to see him have those thoughts.

I do have to say I kind of missed the moments where sometimes the book would jump to a moment further ahead. Like their first conversation in the carage that was skipped, I would have loved to read that.

I also have to say that I don't know if it was intentional, but the main character really reads as autistic to me. From him freaking out over loud noises and the difficulty with social interactions, it really felt like this was a neurodivergent character. So to read about a character that feels Autistic still be in such mature relationships felt really good to me and I loved it how they treated him with that.

All together I really enjoyed this read and I'm looking forward to know what happens after the cliffhanger of the end.

I received an eARC of this book and this was my honest review.
