5 feminist stars.... a quick read filled with magical elements, fantastic female & queer characters, and covers women's issues against a simultaneously gorgeous and eerie Irish backdrop. I loved it so much and cried rage-tears at the end, reading about the true-life inspirations in the author's note. It's a great reminder of how far we've come and how far we still need to go. Also, I just want to eat apples now.
