I was incredibly skeptical about this book for years because of the general premise....a grown man meets his wife in the past as a young girl. Creepy, right? I finally gave the book a try, because it's arguably one of the most famous pieces of time travel fiction, which I am obsessed with, and I have to say: I get it. I get why this book is loved. It's very sad, and romantic, and deals with concepts you don't normally see in science fiction. I loved it, and devoured it in large chunks. The film was good too, but the book is superior in pretty much every way.
Other than a few minor complaints, I absolutely adored it.
