The beginning of the book was so dreamy. I immediately felt drawn in by the sweeping imagery and whimsical storyline, BUT the dreaminess quickly faded and was replaced by too many words in some areas, too little in others, and far too many characters and side stories. Some really good things in this book and some really subpar things which levels out to being an ok/not bad/not incredible read - hence the 3 ⭐️ rating.
