The Arctic Fury by Greer Macallister

adventurous dark mysterious reflective sad fast-paced

5.0

This was a pleasant surprise. I read it to fill a reading category of a book set in the Arctic or Antarctic. Last year the book I read for that category was pretty disappointing, so I didn't have very high expectations going into this one. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Told in alternating timelines, we experience both the creation of an expedition team made entirely of ladies followed by their journey to the Arctic and the murder trial of Virginia, the leader of said expedition.

I could not stop listening to this audio. It was so well done and the story was so well put together and paced. I'm glad this was the one I got to read for this specific category. Hopefully I can find another winner next year. Or maybe just read this one again... 🤔
