Struck: Phoebe Meadows Book 1 by Amanda Carlson

3.0

Phoebe Being Struck (literally) set the book in motion.
I loved meeting Phoebe's friends. They were hilarious and as we later found out, more complex than we thought.

Another thing I enjoyed is the way Phoebe dealt with the situation she was thrust into. She had no idea who she really was, and after the initial shock faded, she kicked ass.

She was scared (any smart person would be) at finding herself at a different environment and not knowing who the good and bad "people" are. But she still stayed strong and fought.

The world building was done well and explained in a simple way. We were thrust into the action alongside Phoebe and had no trouble following the events/characters etc...

I did enjoy the romance in the book.

Phoebe and Fenrir are a good pair. But I felt it was trust on them because the situation they found themselves in. I would have liked to see more interaction outside of the danger they faced ,for the connection between them to appear more deep and solid.
