The Boys’ Club is a drama for the 21st century. It gives you a little “wolf of Wall Street” a little “devil wears prada” and a whole lot of drama.

Alex Vogel isn’t a perfect female protagonist, she’s flawed, sometimes you question her choices. But she’s real, I can picture being faced with some of these decisions and trying to navigate them. So I felt a lot of empathy for her.

The journey of Alex’s first year in a high profile law firm is not what “Suits” depicts. There are plenty of late nights, and endless emails but Alex’s journey really comes into focus as a woman in what is so often a male-centric firm.

I honestly didn’t want this book to end, and I think I kept putting it down to extend my journey with Alex.
