Review: Boss Man was a 5 star romance read for me as well as a super angsty and heated workplace romance by Vi Keeland! From the first meet cute Reese and Chase have a palpable chemistry and burning tension but underneath the heat we begin to see how they each are a little broken and a little tortured about events in their pasts and families. Vi really tugged at the heart strings with Chase’s past and I loved every minute of him unraveling as Reese catapults into his life.

Reese and Chase were a conundrum for your typical office romance and one thing Vi knows how to do is amp up the tension. The pull we see them both resist at first provides just enough tension for us to love the connection they have but also pull our hair out about how they have barriers preventing the other getting too close. I loved how Chase was the one who shoved his way into Reese’s life at first with his cocky billionaire persona but also was down to earth and more homey than I expected when we meet him again. Reese was also an FMC who had many layers that added to her story and the romance. Vi broke her walls down in ways that showed us the woman underneath the heels who just wanted her HEA but also would not take anyone keeping her down.

While I love the romance between these two what really got to me was their friendship. Reese and Chase have an astoundingly beautiful friendship that was EVERYTHING in this book. I loved how Reese was there for Chase through thick and thin and was supportive about the ghosts of his pasts but also enjoyed how Chase brought out a side of Reese that others didn’t see. Some of my favorite scenes in the book were ones where the two of them were just hanging out and enjoying each others company.

Boss Man is a read that deserves a standing ovation and Vi Keeland knocked it out of the park with the whole plot of this book. Chase Parker is one of the sexy bosses of book boyfriends in 2024 and I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Rating: 5/5; Boss Man is your next workplace romance obsession and I am not ready to say bye to Chase Parker!

Thank you @hambright_pr & @vi_keeland  for the eARC!

Review: Boss Man was PERFECTION in audiobook form! Vi Keeland brought Chase and Reese to life with narrators that really dove into their story a their characters. The way Maxine and Joe bounced off one another and grew the tension and emotions between Reese and Chase as the story developed. Boss Man was a book that was just as good in audio version as I was in print and Maxine was the narrator who truly grasped my attention in this β€œread” through. She truly took the voice of Reese and ran with it to give us a FMC who had all the emotions and all the heartache we get with her story while reading but allows us to bring it to life!

This audiobook provided a romance that had all of the needed emotions I loved in Chase and Reese and it made me fall in love with Reese more as a character and as a partner for Chase while listening! Vi Keeland has another outstanding audiobook in Boss Man and I cannot wit to see what she does next.

Rating: 100+; Maxine and Joe were able to embody the story of these two characters and hats off to them for a 5 star performance!
