Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert
5.0
I saw several people talking about how they got this on Amazon for free and that they ended up really loving it. I have been in the mood for Christmas books so I got it myself bot really expecting all that much from it but boy was I wrong.
I don't really know were to start with this review. Lets start with the characters. First off there's Bailey who I love. She is such a strong woman who doesn't want to rely on men, which by the way she doesn't have to because she can definitely take care of herself. The there's Cash who OMG again I love him. He can be an ass sometimes but it's totally understandable and forgivable. Both of these characters have pasts that have shaped who they are as adults but you see them unexpectedly help each other and grow from it.
The book is also wonderfully diverse. Bailey is a POC and there's a gay side character, which I wish we got more of because I loved his parts. Aside from that this book touches on deeper subjects like abuse and intrusive thoughts and I feel like they are handled respectfully. I feel like this I a great representation on how things can affect different people throughout their life.
I don't know what else to say besides that I absolutely loved this book. I found myself laughing out loud several times and my heart broke several times as well. If you haven't read this I highly recommend. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
