I've got to give this a 3,5 stars and the only reason it's not 4 is that I got a little bored in the middle. It started out strong with the FMC being sarcastic and brutal and then I felt like she mellowed out in the middle and sometimes I just want a character like that to stay morally grey throughout a book. But it picked right back up towards the end of the book with a plot twist I did not see coming and a (hopefully) new LI presented. I have to admit I did get very bored of Maelor but I am glad that Sion popped up as a cure to him. They're giving Stefan and Damon vibes and you bet I'm a Damon kind of girl.
