This was a great example of genre literature made from familiar ingredients but with new and fresh elements. I wanted something fun and easy to read and that's what I got. This was not groundbreaking in any way but it was a solid book.

I didn't feel it was horror, but mystery definitely. It won the horror category in Goodreads awards though, so I guess it can be categorized as horror. I just wasn't scared, I suppose.
