I liked this book because the mystery presented was gruesome and interesting. I also liked the solution which seemed a far fetched but it worked.
But what this book lacked was the process of solving the mystery. Being a mystery book it failed to take the reader down a mystery solving ride. A lot of the 400 pages were full of descriptions of the forest and how fuzzy Stevie felt kissint David. This was all good in the trilogy. It felt thrilling reading there but it feels annoying now.
The Stevie and Nate moments were so precious and funny and Johnson really needs to add more of it in her next book.
I like this gang. I will continue to read them. Maureen Johnson knows how to set the premise and the climax. I just hope she improves the in-between part in her later books.
