I know my rating doesn't seem to reflect it, but I thought this was a good second installment to the series. It just didn't captivate me quite the same way as the previous one did, and I didn't feel as much on the edge of my seat at the end.  I also couldn't help but start noticing that Gwynne's prose is a little lacking/feels very basic. 

Overall I enjoyed this one, and I can't wait to see where my favorite characters go next in Ruin.
