I've been meaning to get around to Bujold for years - ever since reading Jo Walton's What Makes This Book So Great. When my girlfriend beat me to it and recommended this one....well, no time like the present.

I'm totally hooked. Penric and Desdemona are such good characters, and their relationship is so sweet. I can't say I'm especially interested in the setting, so I don't know if I'd read the non-Penric books that take place in this land, but the five gods are interesting enough. Unfortunately I'm basically only reading ebooks at this particular life juncture, and my library doesn't have any more in the series! On to Vorkosigan then, I guess!
