The Final Gambit by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

4.0

This is the last book in the series and I’m quite happy with how everything came together. I feel as though all of my questions were answered in ways that were satisfying aka not rest opt out conclusions that sometimes happen in a series.

I will say that reading this book straight after its predecessor was a mistake. Just sharing a lesson I’ve learnt really and this is NOT having a break from a world or cast of characters causes me to almost grow bored. I think this change in me (as I used to be able to read a whole series though - looking at you ACOTAR 2018) coincides with becoming a lot more of a mood reader. For example, I can’t do two books of the same genre one after the other anymore.

Anyhoo, I digress. This series is a great one if you like mysteries and riddles!!
