i had high hopes because the hunger games is my favorite ya series. this did not meet my expectations. i LOVE a villain origin story and thought it began strong (when he was at the academy) however, i found it boring after that. i did not like any of the characters nor did i empathize with them. after the actual hunger games the book just went downhill i snoozed when he became a military guy. this was just disappointing.
