I was holding back tears all throughout reading the book. I finally caved in the second or third to the last chapter; I was reduced to a sobbing mess. This book is an ode to grief, mothers, fathers, families, growing up, life. It was not a quick read, because it simply must be savored, cherished, ruminated upon.
