A phenomenal piece of autobiographical fiction that crosses so many borders. Deeply personal while profoundly reflective on geopolitics and the personal, familial, cultural, and societal impact of imperialism and political movements. The seamless transitions through times and places was uniquely well done once the story finds its cadance. Highly recommended.
