I didn’t know much about this book beyond the synopsis but most definitely check the trigger warnings!
I wasn’t sure if I would be into this at first since it was kind of eh at the start but it definitely picked up the pace once we get to the backstory between the two. I can’t believe this ends on a cliffhanger (another thing I didn’t know was going to happen) so this is most certainly not a standalone.
I did enjoy it at the end, it’s pretty straightforward. There is a bit of a plot going on too, aside from just smutty stuff so that’s always pretty good! I did enjoy that the male main character was obsessed with the FMC from high school and I like that she’s also his best friend’s brother. Some of my favourite tropes! Looking forward to see how things pan out in book 2!
