Thank you LoveNotesPR for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Heart Match is a celebrity romance, with a lingerie designer and a tennis player.
It was a very quick and easy read, with a lot of cheesy lines and situations which gave me a very rom-commy film feel - perfect if you want to read a romcom!
For me, unfortunately, I didn't really connect with the characters or the romance. I wish it were a dual POV as I felt like I didn't get to know Luc at all from Livvy's POV, and therefore struggled to be invested in the romance - it felt very insta-love and shallow in terms of their connection, which I'm not personally a fan of. I didn't really feel like I saw the characters fall for each other.
I also struggle to call this a tennis/sports romance
as it takes 60% of the book for the main character to realise her love interest is a celebrity tennis player
- I felt like I was just waiting for the really obvious to happen, because it's on the blurb and front cover. Again, I just personally don't like it when blurbs tell you plot points that aren't revealed until over half way through.
My final issue was the ex.
We were building to something but then the drama happened and was 'resolved' because Luc told him to go - I just feel like there should have been more. Pressing charges was mentioned but nothing was really followed through.

Although this missed the mark with me, it is a quick read and good if you're in the mood for a light-hearted romcom celebrity romance!
