the book does get a bit repetitive as you progress through the chapters (especially if you've already spent a lot of time thinking about these topics yourself) and it took me quite some time to finish it.
even so, i did immediately think of a few people who might profit from reading this book. it's a decent collection of impulses and reminders and (more or less relatable) anecdotes and cutesy illustrations that holds your hand if you've only just recognized the influence the patriarchy has had on your life and you're learning to detach yourself from the expectations of others, start setting boundaries and stop feeling guilty for enjoying yourself.
