This is by far one of the best books I’ve read this year. The narration of events is storytelling at its finest, and the beautifully haunting voice given to each individual is emotionally raw and poetic. Such an amazing work of historical fiction.
My only complaints are that I waited so long to read it, and that it’s over. This is a story easy to devour, and absolutely one that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. I promise.
