Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid
4.0
3.5/5 but giving it 4 stars because it got me out of my reading slump for sure.
Reid definitely has a writing style I like. I was sucked into this story so fast, I just couldn't put the book down. The characters though, I didn't like. There isn't a single one I warmed to. Maybe it's because they're all quite stereotypical or maybe she just meant it that way, but I like it better when there's at least one character I sympathize with.
The final sentences about Emira in her late thirties, I don't get either. They don't contribute anything at all. Just cut those lines and end with Briar's pumpkin please.
